About The Lab
The Lab is a concierge personal fitness firm built to help people unlock human potential — not just in sport, but in life. We deliver elite, personalized wellness experiences wherever our clients live, work, or stay — from luxury urban residences and suburban estates, to hotels and corporate wellness partnerships.
We are home to a diverse, dynamic team of performance specialists who bring the best of strength & conditioning into real-world environments — blending data, discipline, and hospitality.
Founded in Philadelphia, we are rapidly expanding and seeking our next Concierge Personal Training Specialist to join the mission.
What Makes This Role Different
This is not a traditional gym floor or facility-based role. This is a position designed for experienced coaches who want to make an impact outside the typical four walls.
You’ll work with high-performing individuals — from executives and entrepreneurs to athletes, parents, and community leaders — all seeking clarity, confidence, and consistency in their personal health.
You’ll have:
Creative autonomy to shape your approach
Ownership of your schedule and client relationships
Opportunity to grow with a platform that’s changing the way wellness is delivered
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver personalized fitness programs grounded in science and tailored to each client’s lifestyle, goals, and physical condition
Track and analyze progress using both traditional assessments and innovative tools (body composition, movement screens, VO2max, etc.)
Build trusted relationships with clients and represent The Lab at residential, corporate, and hospitality locations
Contribute to the evolution of our services and offerings — from new product ideas to program design
Support the growth of The Lab by mentoring newer coaches or leading special initiative
This Role Might Be for You If…
You’ve worked for 2–3+ years in a high-performance environment — whether that’s with a collegiate team, a private sports facility, a corporate wellness program, or an independent client base
You’re a lifelong learner with a deep respect for the coaching profession and a curiosity for what’s next
You believe great coaching blends science, empathy, and execution
You’re just as comfortable working with a founder recovering from a startup burnout as you are with a 14-year-old basketball player, or a new mom returning to strength training
You’re ready to step into a more entrepreneurial role without giving up the standards and systems that made you great
You’re reliable, communicative, and professional — a team player who thrives in high-trust environments
You’re passionate about equity, inclusion, and meeting each client where they are
Career Growth at The Lab
This isn’t a dead-end role. It’s a foundation for personal and professional growth:
Initial 90 Days: Establish your client base and partner responsibilities
Next 6–12 Months: Take on leadership opportunities, build programs, and contribute to special initiatives
Year 2+: Step into expanded roles — from region leadership to innovation projects, educational content, or new market expansion
